Masson/Duboule/Ruiz/Vandenbulcke

Assembled at the initiative of Vincent Ruiz and Nicolas Masson, this newly formed quartet offers an open, democratic interpretation of recent compositions by Nicolas Masson. The project blends composed material and responsive improvisation, allowing structures to emerge and be shaped in real time. The ensemble—Nicolas Masson (saxophone), Théo Duboule (guitar), Vincent Ruiz (double bass) and Nathan Vandenbulcke (drums)—explores textural interplay, collective listening and the elasticity of form in contemporary chamber jazz.
