An intimate venue located in Carouge, Theatre Alchimic offers approximately 10 performances each year. Guided by the belief that theatre can contribute to changing the world by sparking reflection and serving as a cornerstone of social cohesion, Alchimic explores timeless or pressing contemporary themes.
Directed by François Marin, this intimate staging examines the fraught passion between Martin Heidegger and Hannah Arendt against the moral upheavals of Nazi Germany. Mario Diament’s text, adapted by André Nerman, traces a forbidden love between a philosopher and his student, probing complicity, memory and the struggle to reconcile heart and conscience. Sabrina Martin and Frank Semelet inhabit the roles with spare, intense performances, supported by a precise, austere mise en scène that foregrounds emotional conflict and ethical ambiguity.

Claudine (j’aime pas l’bonheur) is a re-creation by Marjolaine Minot that probes the ambivalence of happiness through intimate theatrical language. The piece blends restrained physicality and lyrical monologue to map memory, longing and domestic disquiet. Minimal scenic devices and attentive sound design carve spaces of emotion, while a small ensemble negotiates shifts between humour and melancholy. The production favours fragile gestures and precise rhythms to evoke an uneasy, poetic atmosphere.
