Association Action Civique Intempestive (ACI) is a residents’ association managing collective housing and cultural spaces in the 1–3 Rue Lissignol building in Geneva. It supports affordable, collectively run housing, maintains artist studios and communal areas, and fosters local cultural activities and community-led creative projects.
Three improvisers and composers — Maël Godinat (piano), William Jacquemet (trombone) and Pierre‑François Massy (double bass) — present a program of original material and carefully chosen covers. Arrangements emphasize close harmonies, intimate interplay and attentive listening, letting sparse textures open into rich, resonant chords. The trio’s sound balances lyrical phrasing with rhythmic subtlety; lighting and silence shape moments of suspended time, inviting a contemplative, warm atmosphere that reimagines harmonic conversation in the moment.
Led by Florence Melnotte (piano, synth, koassilator, vocals), with Louis Billette (saxophones, flugelhorn, vocals) and Sylvain Fournier (drums, vocals), Les Ancêtres du Futur conjure an aesthetic shock that blends anachronism and urgent invention. Their sound moves between wistful, kitsch melodicism and wild, improvised eruptions, where sculpted motifs collide with raw improvisation. Lighting and dynamics create a shimmering, tense atmosphere, transporting listeners through uncanny forms that feel both nostalgic and startlingly new.
