Taste Contemporary

An exhibition presenting work by Garry Fabian Miller, Ptolemy Mann and Marit Tingleff, curated by Sarah Griffin. Across photography, weaving and ceramics, the show explores the darkroom, the dye lab and the kiln as sites of material transformation. The artists draw on deep embodied knowledge and long practice, using process, environment and material behaviour to shape outcomes. The works probe attention to texture, colour and time, revealing subtle relations between technique and the natural conditions that inform each practice.

Various artists present a guided city walk that assembles public sculptures, site-specific installations and text-based interventions across urban spaces. The mediation, led by Saskia Gesinus, foregrounds works in bronze, ephemeral markings and sculptural gestures that dialogue with streets, parks and everyday architecture.
Focusing on how art infiltrates circulation and memory, the route reveals layered narratives of presence and absence, inviting attentive listening to the city’s material and verbal traces.

Geneva based artist Gregory Bourrilly presents seven sculptures and a photograph that reconsider human-centered narratives in favor of ecological processes. Since 2018 his practice explores living dynamics and natural phenomena, imagining a posthuman world where human culture gradually yields to vegetal and animal recolonization. The works combine sculptural forms and photographic framing to evoke material transformation, decay and emergence, proposing alternative imaginaries of coexistence beyond anthropocentrism.

Antoine Roth presents a photography exhibition focused on atmospheric and optical phenomena observed over Lake Geneva. Working with a digital camera and a long‑focal lens, he photographs distant horizons where light, water and air converge. The series documents rare mirages, notably the Fata Morgana, exploring the boundary between perceptual illusion and measurable physical event. Through patient field observation and precise framing, Roth examines how light and thermal gradients sculpt landscape appearances and challenge our sense of materiality.

Aldo Locatelli presents a diverse body of work spanning decades, rooted in experimentation and improvisation.
Paintings in oil, mixed-media pieces, ink drawings, sculptures, floral assemblages under plexiglas and repurposed objects converse through a tactile visual language. His practice moves between abstraction and figuration, privileging matter, color and gestural mark-making to explore observation, the living world and unexpected material affinities. The show reveals a restless creativity driven by curiosity, collage-like associations and continual recomposition.

MAMCO x MAH – Sylvia Sleigh: Refaire collection

Sylvia Sleigh’s retrospective pairs the artist’s figurative painting with ‘Refaire collection’, a polygraphic project offering a feminist rereading of art-history canons. Sleigh, a Welsh painter active in New York, is known for reversing gendered norms—placing the male nude where the female traditionally appears—and for portraits of the 1960s–70s New York art community. ‘Refaire collection’ gathers Swiss holdings and works by artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Meret Oppenheim, Pipilotti Rist, Joan Semmel and the Guerrilla Girls across painting, sculpture, video, drawing and photography.
