HEM Dufour is a campus of the Haute École de Musique de Genève housing teaching, practice and public performance spaces. This presentation honours Marguerite Roesgen-Champion, the Geneva-born composer, pianist and harpsichordist, through an exhibition and related programme. The displays emphasise contrapuntal clarity, timbral detail and performance practice, situating her within the circle of contemporary harpsichordists. At lunchtime, the HEM’s Monday Lunchtimes series brings lecturers and students together for chamber music that offers a gentle pause in the middle of the working day. In residence at the HEM this year, the Belcea Quartet combines passion, precision and expressive intensity in Beethoven’s string quartets, shaping an encounter where classical structure and emotional urgency meet in a concentrated, intimate atmosphere.
This academic colloquium is dedicated to Michel Butor on the centenary of his birth. It brings together discussion and reflection around his literary work, critical influence, and ongoing relevance in the study of modern literature.
