MOPS DanceSyndrome — MuseOM#

Choreographed by Ela Franscella, MuseOM# presents an itinerant, in situ choreography performed by MOPS DanceSyndrome, a Swiss company of young adults with Down syndrome. Following a five-day museum residency, the dancers trace a ritual-like spiral of movement and testimony that seeks a spiritual dimension beyond pure technique. The piece unfolds as a dialogue between dance and visual arts, with live composition and sound by Michel Thouzeau, creating intimate, resonant atmospheres.

Led by Florence Melnotte (piano, synth, koassilator, vocals), with Louis Billette (saxophones, flugelhorn, vocals) and Sylvain Fournier (drums, vocals), Les Ancêtres du Futur conjure an aesthetic shock that blends anachronism and urgent invention. Their sound moves between wistful, kitsch melodicism and wild, improvised eruptions, where sculpted motifs collide with raw improvisation. Lighting and dynamics create a shimmering, tense atmosphere, transporting listeners through uncanny forms that feel both nostalgic and startlingly new.

8 – 14 October

Directed by Alexander Zeldin, The Other Place is a contemporary reading of Antigone that carves a tragic family drama out of everyday life. On the anniversary of their father’s death, two estranged sisters confront memories, renovation works and an uncle determined to move on. With Jerry Killick among the cast and a strikingly realistic scenography, the production exposes hidden violences, irreconcilable trajectories and raw emotional fractures in a finely observed, tense staging.

Je ne suis pas Johnny is a theatrical exploration of identity, memory and the weight of cultural myth. Combining intimate staging, physical sensitivity and moments of dark humour, the piece unsettles familiar narratives and invites audiences to reconsider how personas are constructed and performed. Sparse lighting and a fluid rhythm shape an intense, close-up experience, where silence and gesture reveal hidden tensions and unexpected tenderness.
