La Ménagerie de verre

For his final production as a theatre director, Jean Liermier revisits Tennessee Williams’s autobiographical classic about memory, longing and family. Set in the 1930s American South, the staging gathers a company around Laura, here embodied by Aurélia Thierrée, with Cyprien Colombo, David Gobet and Clotilde Mollet completing the ensemble. Liermier’s direction emphasises fragile interiors and poetic movement, offering a liberating, weightless atmosphere that balances tenderness and uneasy nostalgia.

Choreographed and performed by Andalusian artist María del Mar Suárez, known as La Chachi, this hybrid flamenco piece blends reverence and deconstruction of tradition with a punk expressivity. Two musicians and a singer form a driving, looping soundscape that slowly reveals La Chachi’s silhouette as she advances, her movements coiling and breaking like the music’s escalating cycles. Visceral and hypnotic, the work explores the effort to overcome the seemingly insurmountable, building tense intimacy and ritualized ascent.

6 – 7 October

Choreographed by Riyad Fghani and performed by Pockemon Crew, this visceral hip‑hop performance transforms micro‑gestures of daily screen use into an explosive, nervous and vibrant physical language. Under shifting lights and layered projections, bodies collide, sync and dissolve in flows that mirror our connected lives. The piece blends precise street technique with theatrical staging and immersive visuals, inviting a moment of collective attention and presence through rigorous choreography and electric ensemble energy.

5 – 8 October

Three improvisers and composers — Maël Godinat (piano), William Jacquemet (trombone) and Pierre‑François Massy (double bass) — present a program of original material and carefully chosen covers. Arrangements emphasize close harmonies, intimate interplay and attentive listening, letting sparse textures open into rich, resonant chords. The trio’s sound balances lyrical phrasing with rhythmic subtlety; lighting and silence shape moments of suspended time, inviting a contemplative, warm atmosphere that reimagines harmonic conversation in the moment.

22 September – 29 November

Two short plays by Anton Chekhov staged by Tibor Ockenfels and Flavie Tapparel, presented as compact dramatic machines where romantic comedy masks escalating confrontations between desire, affection and material interest. Performances rely on precise physical timing, terse exchanges and a lean, playful design to reveal the simmering violence behind courtship rituals. The three actors — Estelle Bridet, Matteo Prandi and Raphaël Vachoux — inhabit heightened character types that shift between farce and darker comic truth, creating a sharply observed, kinetic evening.

Performed by Manon Krüttli and Jeanne De Mont, the piece follows Manon Krüttli’s journey between autobiography, fiction and dreamlike reverie. It probes questions of living together, reconciliation and the role of conviviality as an artistic gesture, creating an intimate, sensory staging that favors lyricism and shared presence.

Directed by Céline Goormaghtigh and written by Anne Berest, LA VISITE probes maternal instinct with sharp humour and urgent intensity. The work explores ‘matraissance’—the birth of motherhood—balancing lucidity, rage and tenderness to unsettle familiar myths about maternal bliss.
