The Théâtre du Loup, established in Geneva in 1978, is a dynamic independent company with a 200-seat theater in the Vernets-Acacias neighborhood. It produces around twelve performances annually, prioritizing original works, and runs a theater school for children and teenagers. Known for its creativity and dedication to both children’s and adult theater, the company also features the MUZOO, a collection that showcases its scenic creations.
Directed by Rémi Dufay, D’amour et d’eau fraîche is a stage adventure that celebrates movement, friendship and the unforeseen. Rémi Dufay and his ensemble probe margins and fragile frames, staging situations that slip away in a deliberately unsteady ceremony. The production blurs reality and magic, carrying the audience through a joyful, rocambolic wandering. A lively, generous performance that refuses stillness and favours continual transformation.

Jean-Louis Johannides leads CRU, an open urban research group that explores the rapidly changing Praille-Acacias-Vernets territory. The workshop gathers walks, observations and field collections to collaboratively compose a prospective narrative set in 2047. Participants will practise narrative-foresight methods and collective writing through field research, creative exercises and group discussion. Architect and doctoral researcher Clément Mathey contributes perspectives on collective narration and futures approaches.

Written by Julie Gilbert and directed by Lou Ciszewski, Quoiqu’il arrive. Respire. follows Joana, a thirty-something MMA teacher running exclusively female classes. After a lost fight and an injury, she reflects on what it means to fight and to stand up as a woman in today’s society. The piece blends physical combat and metaphorical struggle, exploring how women claim space, resist assigned roles and sustain presence. Directed by Fanny Brunet and Carole Schafroth, this theatrical adaptation of Daniel de Roulet’s novel follows ten young women who emigrate to Patagonia to found an egalitarian anarchist community. Using object theatre, the production blends storytelling, projected images and reflective passages to probe anarchist utopias, working-class conditions, migration and the marginalised role of women in history. The staging is intimate and inventive, inviting thought and emotion through tactile imagery and poetic gesture.

This second edition of Matières inflammables places contemporary writing at the centre. Over three days, five new plays by today’s authors are presented in staged readings directed by contemporary directors and performed by powerful actors. The programme explores unheard texts—unpublished or rarely staged—using theatre as an echo chamber for political, visceral and joyful perspectives. Additional formats include Mets sur haut-parleur, a haunted café for conversation, and a closing party.
