Am Stram Gram is a theatrical institution in Geneva. This distinctive theatre is dedicated to engaging young audiences and families, with a rich selection of interactive performances. Emphasizing a diverse program encompassing contemporary plays and reimagined classics, Am Stram Gram puts on around 20 shows a year.
Directed by Jérôme Bel, this collectively created theatre piece is written and performed by children aged 8 to 14. The work unfolds through improvisation, playful imagination and a celebration of creative freedom, inviting an immediate, joyful stage presence. The ensemble’s spontaneous scenes and open-ended dramaturgy emphasize collaboration and risk, offering spectators an intimate encounter with youthful authorship and theatrical experiment.

Led by Ahmed Madani and a troupe of young performers, this vibrant, joyful performance gathers choir, intimate video narratives, dance, live music and the sonic textures of protests in an interactive agora. The staging blends collective singing, personal testimony and physical theatre to explore youth engagement, solidarity and the emergence of shared pathways. The piece is electrifying and tender, inviting audiences into an energetic communal experience.

Discover how a midnight wish brings Grou, a Cro‑Magnon man, into Charles’s kitchen on the night he turns twelve. The two travel through the story of humanity without leaving the room in a funny, inventive and highly physical family show. Children experience lively scenes, playful movement and imaginative storytelling that awaken curiosity about the past while celebrating friendship, creativity and shared surprises.

Move into a silent world where theatre, live film and puppetry play with size and perception. Children encounter a giant model landscape, puppets and filmed characters performed live, discovering how a child’s big imagination can shrink when adults appear. The show uses striking visuals and close-up storytelling at child height, encouraging curiosity, wonder and playful observation through motion, texture and light.
Suitable for non-French speakers – Kids ages 4–104.
Two short pieces combine sleight, movement and live piano. In Variations pour piano et polystyrène Madeleine Cazenave’s music accompanies a juggler and his polystyrene plate in a levitating, poetic duet with sound. Goupil et Kosmao brings a taxidermied fox to life: sly, mischievous and intent on stealing the show from its magician. The double program mixes magic nouvelle, dance, silent theatre and piano in a tactile, playful experience for ages 5 to 105.
