Le Cochon enchanté is an opera by Jonathan Dove, directed by Joan Mompart. The story follows Flora, a princess who confronts a prince transformed into a pig by day and a man by night, embarking on a modern quest through worlds inspired by video games and social networks. Eight lyric singers and six instrumentalists bring intimate musical textures to this co‑production with the Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Opéra de Lausanne, blending playful staging and contemporary irony.

Choreographed and created by Vanessa Riera, this défilé-performance brings together a mixed community of young people in migration, artistic trainees and youth experiencing social rupture, who prepared the work through workshops and perform as the runway cast. The creative team includes a musician, a scenographer, an assistant, a technician and a make-up artist. Reclaimed garments sourced from textile bins and a social wardrobe are reshaped into sculptural, elegant costumes. The piece blends fashion and choreography to explore belonging, identity and material transformation.

Given carte blanche, artist France Léa presents ÉTONNEMENTS !, a poetic solo that listens to silences and celebrates small wonders. Through intimate spoken word, delicate gesture and gentle humour she navigates memory, tenderness and philosophical reflection, shaping an interior voyage at the heart of language. Sparse staging and subtle soundscapes favour attentive rhythms, creating a hushed, luminous atmosphere that invites wonder and quiet emotion.

Festival Kurai x Gesa gathers leading and emerging electronic artists across two outdoor stages over three days. The programming blends immersive live sets, modular synthesis and DJ performances with curated production design and light textures that shift from late-afternoon warmth to nocturnal intensity. Expect layered soundscapes, rhythmic drive and communal dance energy, framed by careful sound engineering and stage dramaturgy. Free shuttles link festival stages and the late-night club programme.

15 – 18 April

Ariel Project is a participatory documentary sci‑fi piece led by Caroline Bernard and Gaël Sillere with the young performers of the Morphoses group. The work stages encounters between testimony and imagination, mounting an intimate atmosphere where childhood and adolescent voices confront the unknown through an OVNI narrative. The collaborative creation blends documentary material and theatrical invention, exploring memory, fear and wonder in a cross-generational ensemble. Presented within the VIVA festival and produced in co‑realisation with Comédie de Genève.

5 – 21 March

Created by Am Stram Gram and directed by Steven Matthews, this wild Western reinvents the genre with humour and kinetic energy. Matthews and his ensemble interrogate law, money and the idea of progress while pushing the limits of the stage into saloons, robberies, a mock funeral, shadow‑theatre train sequences and breathless chases. The production blends physical theatre, visual invention and comic timing to deliver an irreverent, spirited exploration of community and territory.
