Spitting Image — danced stances

Choreographed by Aurélie Dupuis and Zoé Lefèvre of danced stances, Spitting Image is performed by lisa laurent, Marie Popall and Tyra Wigg. Born from the Choréopolice/Choréopolitique research-creation, the piece interrogates choreographies of control and normativity that shape urban space. Using resemblance, mimicry and abrasive vocal textures, it dismantles recurring images and unresolved traces of the past. Intimate gestures and fragmented tableaux create a tense, confrontational atmosphere that examines how collective bodies inherit and refuse inherited forms.
