Auditorium Ansermet is a 300‑seat concert hall and recording space within Geneva’s eMa (École des Musiques Actuelles) and the Centre des Musiques Actuelles. Originally conceived in 1939 by Ernest Ansermet with RTS, the renovated auditorium hosts classical and amplified performances, recordings, contemporary music projects and educational programming for emerging artists.
Elvett gathers four female voices, a grand piano and a brass quintet into an eleven-piece ensemble showcasing a new set born from a week-long residency. Anchored by the radiant voice of Lyn and the luminous productions of Alain Frey, the music moves between soul, jazz and sacred-inspired sonorities. The project features Soraya Berent on piano, Gaspard Sommer on analog synths, Chloé Baumgartner and Capucine Mugnier on backing vocals, plus a brass section. Actor and singer Lambert Wilson channels Kurt Weill’s music in an intense, elegant recital. Accompanied by the Lemanic Modern Ensemble, he revives selections from The Threepenny Opera, The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, Lady in the Dark and other stage works, moving between Berlin cabaret textures, jubilant jazz and theatrical declamation. The performance relies on close ensemble interplay and expressive phrasing to probe themes of urban decadence, irony and longing.

Bugge Wesseltoft and Marcol Savoy lead a refined trio that melds collective improvisation, electronic textures and lyrical jazz phrasing. Joined by Nadir Graa on electric bass, the ensemble reinterprets material from New Conception of Jazz with an emphasis on spontaneous interplay and delicate sonic detail. Their set balances intimate piano and Rhodes timbres, subtle effects and propulsive, responsive drumming. A masterclass component explores approaches to group improvisation and open electronic music.

Exploring the musical lives of birds, this programme juxtaposes three distinct compositional approaches. Jonathan Harvey’s work slows and ornaments natural song, inviting attentive listening; Carola Bauckholt isolates and treats avian cries as raw material; Robin Meier Wiratunga stages a sound dialogue between pigeons in flight and instrumentalists. The evening balances close listening and playful sonic gestures, offering an intimate, often uncanny encounter with avian timbres and transformed field recordings.
An immersive marathon dedicated to the string quartet repertoire, featuring over four hours of live music across varied sets and world premieres commissioned by Contrechamps. The programme juxtaposes works by György Ligeti with contemporary projects by Marc Ribot Quartet, Adrien Trybucki, Karl Naegelen, Marc Garcia Vitoria, Katia Geha and Florence Melnotte, and includes two films screened continuously. The evening blends virtuosic precision and experimental textures, offering shifting atmospheres from intimate to intense.
