Composer and oud master Marcel Khalifé returns with an intimate set drawn from his landmark debut and a newly recorded album. Joined by his son, musician Bachar Mar-Khalifé, Khalifé’s solitary oud and resonant voice weave poems by Mahmoud Darwish into meditations on exile, love, violence and hope. The music alternates between spare, luminous textures and surging, rhythmic intensity, creating an atmosphere both elegiac and defiant. Presented with the support of ICAM and Arab Bank Switzerland.

Reuniting after roughly thirty years, Dazzling Killmen return with a fierce, uncompromising sound that blends pre/math rock, post-metal, hardcore-punk and jazz-core textures. La Princesse eSt le Chevalier is a playful and visually captivating family show combining shadow theatre, acting and live music. Follow Maylis, a curious princess who challenges the beliefs imposed by her kingdom and sets off in search of answers. A joyful celebration of curiosity, science and freedom of thought.

Two short plays by Anton Chekhov staged by Tibor Ockenfels and Flavie Tapparel, presented as compact dramatic machines where romantic comedy masks escalating confrontations between desire, affection and material interest. Performances rely on precise physical timing, terse exchanges and a lean, playful design to reveal the simmering violence behind courtship rituals. The three actors — Estelle Bridet, Matteo Prandi and Raphaël Vachoux — inhabit heightened character types that shift between farce and darker comic truth, creating a sharply observed, kinetic evening.

Scène Vagabonde’s seventh edition brings a compact program of contemporary theatre and music, presenting three contrasting stage works — “Par le bout du nez”, “Quadrille” and “Prima facie” — alongside a concert by Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp as part of La Bâtie-Festival de Genève. Across intimate stagings the festival favors inventive direction, close ensemble interplay and a balance of wit and intensity, offering encounters that privilege physical presence, tonal variety and rigorous dramaturgy.
