Performed by François Mardirossian, this eight‑hour nocturnal recital explores the minimalism tradition through repetitions and subtle variation. The programme moves between works by Philip Glass, Moondog, Erik Satie, Aphex Twin, Brian Eno, John Cage and other composers, creating an immersive, meditative and physical soundscape that invites listeners to drift in and out. A prelude DJ set by Camille Rhonat opens the evening, framing the transition from ambient textures to focused piano minimalism.
Choreographed by Saša Asentić, Le Sacre du printemps is a reimagined Stravinsky landmark performed by the inclusive company Per.Art. Drawing on historical versions by the Ballets Russes, Maurice Béjart and Pina Bausch and enriched with the voices of disabled poets from Serbia, Iran, Ukraine and the United States, the seven dancers invert the original narrative. The staging transforms ritual into a manifesto of survival, blending physical rigor, collective solidarity and poetic testimony to renew the score as a cry for life.
Anitya — L’Impermanence is a participatory solo circus performance by acrobat Inbal Ben Haim. Set among a web of taut, intertwined ropes, the piece explores impermanence, letting go and collective reconstruction. Ben Haim’s mastery of the corde lisse produces striking visual tableaux, blending physical virtuosity with intimate audience interaction as spectators are invited to untangle and lift the performer. The work is atmospheric and sculptural, balancing tension, release and quiet resilience.
Scène Vagabonde’s seventh edition brings a compact program of contemporary theatre and music, presenting three contrasting stage works — “Par le bout du nez”, “Quadrille” and “Prima facie” — alongside a concert by Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp as part of La Bâtie-Festival de Genève. Across intimate stagings the festival favors inventive direction, close ensemble interplay and a balance of wit and intensity, offering encounters that privilege physical presence, tonal variety and rigorous dramaturgy.
