Born between Zurich and Ecuador, their intimate interplay shapes sweeping melodies and haunting reveries, where sparse rhythms and tremolo-laden lines evoke vast horizons. Their 2024 album Sonido Cósmico, produced by Dan Auerbach, confirms an increasingly international trajectory and a refined palette that balances raw emotion with meticulous touch.

Village des Cultures offers a cycle of adult workshops organized by ADEM and eMa, focusing on world music, voice and dance practices. Participants explore circle songs, cantos de trabajo, body percussion and diverse dance forms—sabar and flamenco—through practical sessions led by artists and pedagogues including Marine Pelletrau-Duris, Rebecca Roger Cruz, Roberto Castillo, Khady Sarr, Mbar Ndiaye and Felipe Clivio. The programme emphasizes technique, cultural context and collective improvisation to develop expressive and rhythmic skills.

Frédéric Thierstein presents a one-man band set of drums and live loops that blends grungy riffs, throat-singing echoes and disco-pop quirks. Drawing on a quarter-century of collaborations, his compositions stitch together ‘borborygmes loopés’ with obsessive rhythms and unexpected alpine touches, creating a hypnotic, playful odyssey. The performance relies on raw percussion, layered vocal exploration and electronic textures to shift between intimacy and ecstatic drive. Composition and performance: Frédéric Thierstein. Violencia Rivas is a brazen stage persona created by Léa Pohlhammer that channels a fictional Argentine yéyé singer claiming to have invented punk in the late sixties. On stage Pohlhammer and Adrien Barazzone form a combustible duo: she as the diva, he as her devoted companion. Julien Jaillot directs the actor work; Florence Minder collaborated on dramaturgy; Fernando de Miguel supplies music and sound while Pedro Saborido and Fernando de Miguel provide song texts. Aline Courvoisier designs costumes and Danielle Milovic and Loane Ruga the lighting. Coproduction: F.A.B Force Prod., Venedig Meer.
