Lokos Festival gathers emerging local bands in a raw, communal rock spirit. The programme spotlights young ensembles such as BLAYWEZZ, TEMPLOW, THE HOODS OFF, PROJET WIPEOUT, ANGUILLE SOUS MANGUE and ARCANE, each offering energetic sets that blend garage grit, melodic hooks and experimental textures. Curated by a collective of scene producers, the evening emphasizes live intensity, rough-edged sonorities and audience proximity, shifting between urgent rhythms and quieter, atmospheric moments—an intimate snapshot of a rising musical scene.

6 – 22 March

“Cleopatra at Am Stram Gram” is a must-see show for audiences of all ages. Directed by Dan Jemmett and penned by Rémi De Vos, this production offers a fresh take on the Cleopatra myth, uncovering lesser-known facets of this historical icon. With an all-female cast, the play delves into her alliances, romantic entanglements, and her prowess in languages, mathematics, and philosophy, set against a backdrop of a male-dominated world. It’s a theatrical experience not to be missed!

A man performs on stage, sharing a personal reflection alongside his family, friends, therapist, colleagues, and ex-partners. In seven acts, he delves into pivotal anecdotes to question gender imperatives from childhood to adulthood. The play, “Le Premier Sexe,” addresses the journey from oppression to emancipation and the shift from toxic masculinity to a distinctive masculine identity. Produced by Compagnie Passages, with Mickaël Délis responsible for both writing and directing, in collaboration with Vladimir Perrin and other artists.

As part of the cultural season in Plan-les-Ouates, the Puck Collective presents a historical drama based on testimonies from Burkina Faso and Switzerland. The story follows Aminata, who ventures to Burkina Faso after her mother’s passing to uncover her past, intricately linked to the assassination of President Thomas Sankara. Immersed in a popular uprising, Aminata navigates a landscape of hope and uncertainty while confronting the hidden aspects of her personal history. The performance delves into Sankara’s legacy and raises questions about the future of coming generations.

Created by Aurélie Hubeau and Lucie Hanoy, L’IMPOSTURE is a comic and poetic exploration of doubt, self-image and belonging. The piece follows a woman who describes herself as too small, obese, ugly and a tomboy, and recounts how she forged an identity in today’s world. Using objects, clothing and puppets manipulated with inventive choreography, the performance weaves humor, poetry and music — from Patrick Bruel to gospel and karaoke — to celebrate difference and question social norms, delivering warmth and poignancy.
