Since 2016 the duo Tribade delivers sharp, feminist rap that confronts heteropatriarchy and capitalism. After a breakthrough debut (2019) and the confrontational album Dyke (2022), their 2024 release La Tregua marks clear artistic growth. They forge a raw sound blending Afrobeat, flamenco and breakbeat, pairing pointed lyrics with propulsive rhythms. On stage the pair’s confrontational attitude and vocal intensity create an explosive, cathartic atmosphere that merges protest and celebration.
Baby Volcano presents a hybrid concert-performance that blends visceral rhythms, immersive imagery and a bold manifesto. The new creation fuses reggaeton, baile funk, volcanic noise and layered chant into a luminous, physical refuge where celebration becomes an act of survival and sharing. Monumental, textile-based scenography reacts to sound, shaping bodies and light into an organic landscape. The piece explores collective emotion through music, movement and theatrical writing. Written by Julie Gilbert and directed by Lou Ciszewski, Quoiqu’il arrive. Respire. follows Joana, shaken after seeing a play about a young activist in which one of her pupils performs. Performed by Margot Le Coultre, the piece questions women’s will and capacity to fight—physically and metaphorically—and how to claim and hold space without being assigned a role. Presented in a portable, ‘portative’ form commissioned by the producing company, the staging favors close-up gestures, raw textures and a quietly collective imagination that unsettles certainties.

Madeleine Leclair presents a unique sound performance based on recordings from Borneo and other threatened forest environments. She creates a live mix using vinyl records from the International Archives of Popular Music at MEG and her personal collection, highlighting the acoustic richness of these habitats. This performance is a side event to the exhibition “SAUVAGES: behind the scenes of Claude Barras’s film.”
Molière’s Tartuffe tells the story of a slick con-man who hides behind ostentatious piety to worm his way into the wealthy Orgon household. Orgon, dazzled by Tartuffe’s sanctimonious rhetoric, defends him even as the impostor’s hypocrisy poisons family bonds and pushes the household toward ruin.
Director Jean Liermier underscores how, in Molière’s work, the female characters serve as the moral compass and spark of resistance, a beacon of hope against oppression. Staged on a stark, minimalist set that exposes the family’s rigid tensions—and featuring Gilles Privat as an unbending Orgon—this production highlights the play’s continuing resonance in a world beset by egotism, fanaticism, and conspiracy thinking. The central question remains timeless: will society keep falling for Tartuffe’s brand of seductive deceit?

United Strings of Europe revisit fairy-tale and folk soundscapes in a programme built around Stravinsky’s Divertimento from the ballet Le baiser de la fée. The ensemble is joined by violinist and conductor Julian Azkoul in a programme ranging from Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst and Bartók’s Romanian Dances to Telemann’s Gulliver travels, Atterberg’s Adagio amoroso and Grieg’s Holberg Suite. Expect vivid textures, rhythmic vitality and lyrical soloism in a chamber-orchestral evening.
“Bowling Club Fantasy” by Julie Bugnard and Isumi Grichting at Maison Saint-Gervais takes you into a bowling club setting where a meeting between a music industry mogul and an artist unfolds in unexpected ways. The regulars’ conversations, film dialogues on the TV, and bar sounds spark parallel narratives, creating a tapestry of everyday life. The creators, inspired by American objective poetry, independent cinema, and lo-fi music, delve into the coexistence of different worlds.
