Your eyes are about to lie to you. More than 60 optical illusions, holograms, and immersive rooms play with scale, perspective, and perception in this hands-on museum. Unashamedly fun, highly photogenic, and an easy pick for families, friends, or a rainy Geneva afternoon.
Presented as a convivial evening-format encounter, Oh! MAHself! brings together artworks and short proposals in a speed‑dating rhythm. The event foregrounds artistic experimentation and modes of encounter, prompting fresh perceptions through brief, concentrated interactions with works.
Varied formats and curatorial propositions are showcased, and the programme reflects cross-disciplinary exchange and collaborative practice. In partnership with the Fête du Théâtre, the evening reveals how fleeting encounters can amplify narratives, provoke questions, and reframe audience–art relations.
Rousseau was born right here in 1712. Today, his birthplace pairs a permanent journey through his ideas with a lively programme devoted to contemporary literature. Philosophy, freedom, education, nature: centuries later, the questions raised inside these walls still feel remarkably current.

Curated by the University of Geneva, the exhibition traces the journey of a grain of sand from extraction to its role in contemporary urban construction. Through research-driven installations and documentary displays, it examines extraction, global logistics, and the environmental and social impacts of sand mining. The show juxtaposes scarred landscapes and fragile ecosystems with the material demands of concrete and infrastructure, prompting reflection on alternative materials, reuse practices and how cities might be reimagined for genuine sustainability.

Painter Gustave Didelot presents a structured practice around his concept the ‘Monde de peinture’, developed through accumulation and sustained observation. The exhibition comprises canvases that blend figural fragments, architectural motifs, and cultural references—from video games to contemporary art—producing a visual language that oscillates between mirror and distortion. Using layered paint and attentive composition, Didelot sketches a utopian elsewhere: paintings work as windows that invite projection, reveal alternative narratives, and occasionally suggest emergent forms that entangle play and perception.
