The Biopark is temporarily hosting Janus, a unique two-headed Greek tortoise, during the renovation of the Museum. Each head of this male tortoise has its own independent brain, which sometimes makes its movements challenging. Step close to a sculpture by Alexandre Joly and listen as storytellers Joëlle Flumet and Camille Lacroix bring “The Guardian” to life. Hear short tales that ask who watches whom and what it means to protect or possess. Children will touch ideas of weight and wind, imagine stone blocks and soaring color, and answer playful questions about lifeguards and borders. Then everyone builds a bright kite, feeling fabric and string and watching it dance in the breeze.

8 July – 13 September

Jump into a cozy creative space where tiny hands make colorful shapes and soft sounds fill the air. Inspired by museum artworks, children and their adults will explore textures, colors, and gentle movements through play, stories, and simple crafts. Little ones will experiment with finger paints, fabrics, and instruments, discovering how art can feel and sound. This immersive, multisensory moment encourages curiosity, sensory play, and bonding between child and grown-up.

10 – 15 August

Les Estivales is the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève’s summer academy, offering children and teenagers an inspiring week where intensive musical learning meets the joy of the holiday season. Through individual lessons, chamber music, orchestra, ensemble playing, and creative workshops led by the Conservatoire’s experienced faculty, young musicians develop their skills in a stimulating and supportive environment. Complemented by outdoor activities and a final public concert, Les Estivales combines artistic excellence, collaboration, and fun, creating an unforgettable experience that nurtures both musical growth and lasting friendships. Build a famous museum work together, brick by brick. With a grown-up by your side, you’ll re-create a colourful artwork using LEGO pieces, fitting blocks and adjusting tiny details. Hear the satisfying clicks as colours stack, feel the textures, and watch shapes emerge. Kids explore observation, teamwork and simple problem-solving while practising fine motor skills and creativity. At the end, take home your own model and share the story you built.
