Portrait

Portrait is a creation by Alexandre Simon and Cosima Weiter that delves into the city through the lens of its diverse inhabitants. Combining text, acting, film sequences, and music, “Portrait” unveils a multicultural and unique Geneva. Pierre Maillet brings to life the testimonies collected by Cosima Weiter, supported by a trio of musicians under the direction of Vincent Bertholet. Filmed sequences by Alexandre Simon add depth to the staging, providing an artistic and anthropological view of the city.

This existential thriller delves into the fragmented nature of reality and memory.

Staro slips, sneaks and interferes between genres, inhabiting a liminal space between rap and rock. His French-language, finely crafted and punchy lyrics draw listeners into an intimate, turbulent universe where melancholy dances with the fury of living. On stage he alternates restrained phrasing and explosive outbursts, shaping a raw, urgent sound that balances poetic precision with visceral energy. The performance feels both confessional and confrontational, leaving a lingering emotional charge.

The Antigel opening night brings a charged, club-like atmosphere where shadowed movement and layered sound meet. Patrick Mason anchors the evening with immersive techno and house textures, while Djamzer opens with a warm-up set. In the second room, Spice & Curls and Habiboo deliver afro-electro, ragga and baile funk rhythms. Additional floors host a collective DJ set and a late-night bar selection, creating a multi-room journey of dance and sonic intensity.
