Le Truc sur le feu is a playful, offbeat fable that examines how the domestication of fire shaped human life. Written by Romane Nicolas, the piece stages two Paleolithic clans who wonder, clash and ignite as puppets by the Kokoschka tradition bring grotesque situations to life. With incisive humour and sharp theatricality, the show confronts ideas of progress, individuality versus community, animality and civilisation, offering a vividly staged reflection on the choices that set societies alight.

Written by Stéphane Bouquet, Six heures plus tard is an intimate stage performance for two performers that explores the fragile bonds between a man and a woman through poetic text, live-filmed images, spare lighting and pared-down stage presence. The piece treats silence as a shared, collective resource and recomposes itself according to each venue’s architecture and the state of the bodies, creating an unusual proximity and contemplative atmosphere.

French rapper Oxmo Puccino headlines a season-opening concert, bringing his poetic texts, magnetic presence and intense charisma to a singular musical journey. The evening opens with rising lyric star Valérie Eickhoff, who performs the Wesendonck Lieder, one of the great song cycles devoted to love. The programme blends rap and classical song in a reflective, emotionally charged programme. The event supports Fondation CANSEARCH as part of Septembre en Or.
Scène Vagabonde’s seventh edition brings a compact program of contemporary theatre and music, presenting three contrasting stage works — “Par le bout du nez”, “Quadrille” and “Prima facie” — alongside a concert by Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp as part of La Bâtie-Festival de Genève.
