60th Anniversary of the Fondation Communale de Versoix Samuel May

Free, Booking Required

To mark its 60th anniversary, the Fondation communale de Versoix Samuel-May presents an exhibition at the crossroads of local heritage, urban memory and contemporary photography. Bringing together images from the competition Les immeubles de la Fondation, the show is enriched with archival documents, plans and historical landmarks that trace the institution’s development since 1966 and its influence on the evolution of Versoix. The display offers a layered portrait of a foundation and the city it has helped shape.

Le Salon du Design presents a focused selection of twentieth‑century furniture, lighting and design objects from 1910 to 1990. About thirty vetted professional dealers from Switzerland and across Europe offer original and collectible pieces signed by modern and postmodern designers. Emphasising authenticity, craftsmanship and provenance, the fair appeals to discerning collectors and enthusiasts. The presentation foregrounds curated, high-quality vintage pieces rather than flea-market finds or contemporary studio work, inviting close study of form, material and design history.

30 October – 5 December

Artist Hunter Longe presents a sculptural installation exploring temporalities that outlast human experience. Overworked and found materials—shaped by erosion, human interventions and geological forces—form mutable constellations where micro- and macro-temporalities meet. The show stages collaborative works including a sound composition with Janiv Oron and ritual-inflected poems by CAConrad, amplifying poetic and material registers. Longe treats found objects as offerings from deep time, repositioning them to shift our perception of duration and agency.

Opening: Thursday 29 October, 18:00

5 November – 5 December

This autumn presentation, organised around a list dedicated to Futurism, brings together tracts, exhibition catalogues, journals and books that trace the movement’s restless energy and radical modernity. Among the highlights is an autograph manuscript by Giovanni Papini, containing a crucial text in the history of Futurism, alongside a Futurist letterhead adorned with the celebrated Pugno di Boccioni. The selection offers a focused encounter with rare printed matter and archival material shaped by one of the twentieth century’s most forceful avant-garde currents.

Opening: (AVV) 5 November, 16:00

Permanent exhibition

There’s another Geneva beneath the Old Town. Descend under St Peter’s Cathedral to walk through more than 2,000 years of history, from pre-Christian remains to the city’s earliest churches. It’s one of those places you can walk past a hundred times without guessing what lies beneath.

Permanent exhibition

Even if you’re not a watch person, this might change your mind. Around 2,500 watches, automata, precious objects and enamel miniatures chart five centuries of watchmaking, from extraordinary early timepieces to Patek Philippe creations. Geneva craftsmanship at its most meticulous.

Re:Make highlights transformation. Using reclaimed furniture and materials, each designer is invited to create a unique object. These objects must engage with contemporary work practices—such as deep work, well-being, collaboration, performance, hospitality, conviviality, creativity, and social interaction. Each creation must serve a specific function. The project aims to bring together: a low-tech, sustainable approach; an exploration of new ways of working; an aesthetic of transformation. Designers are invited to conceive objects for contemporary workspaces that foster new behaviors or interactions, while being resource-efficient and intelligently manufactured. Re:Make embodies the idea that a desirable future can emerge from what already exists—through creativity, collaboration, and the reimagining of how things are used.

A project in collaboration with La Renfile and Onl’fait.

Opening: 29 October, 17:00
