La français c’est tout un art

Visit for non-French speakers inside the exhibition “Fuite au Marché Machin” brings together adults and families for a shared encounter with art and language, guided by Douze Zéro Deux and Annina Meyer. The visit invites participants to observe works, learn new expressions, and speak French in a cultural setting. Open to beginners, advanced learners, children, and French speakers alike, it frames illustration as a space for conversation, discovery, and playful exchange.

Big Bangs, tiny particles and some very big questions. CERN’s Science Gateway makes particle physics surprisingly tangible through hands-on experiments, real scientific objects, and immersive installations. You don’t need a physics degree — curiosity will do just fine.

Ceramics and glass get their moment in the spotlight at the Ariana. From delicate porcelain to bold contemporary pieces, the collection shows just how inventive the “fire arts” can be, all inside one of Geneva’s most distinctive museum buildings.

Geneva art, out in the vineyards. Artist Carmen-Sibha Keiso presents a continuation of her exhibition, featuring new works that explore ambivalence and the bystander’s gaze. The show includes sculptural and installation pieces alongside printed editions by Fabrice Gygi, Roman Signer and Marie Sacconi. A recently published volume by Keiso accompanies the presentation, extending the exhibition’s themes into a printed, multi-voiced format. The installation work favours material contrasts and subtle gestures that probe perception, memory and relational dynamics.

Permanent exhibition

Two thousand years, one site. Opened in September 2026, Geneva’s newest archaeological space brings together a Roman dwelling, a medieval cemetery and a church, and 16th-century fortifications. Archaeology meets contemporary architecture — with temporary art projects adding another layer to the story.

30 October – 5 December

Swiss artist Caroline Schattling Villeval presents two video works that imperfectly replay and displace recognisable cultural gestures. One figure attempts Britney Spears’ ‘Baby One More Time’ in sign language, while another reconstructs Pipilotti Rist’s ‘Ever Is Over All’ within a digital environment. The installation probes the legibility of images, questions hearing and what remains inaccessible to the senses, and enlists the viewer in an experience of partial perception. Curator: Elise Lammer.

Opening: 29 October, 18:00
