Located in a large park, the Villa Bernasconi was built in 1828 and was donated by the family in the 1990s to the city of Lancy. Today it serves as a cultural/ art space, where four to five exhibits of contemporary and graphic art are hosted anually. The venue extends its cultural offerings by hosting diverse events such as performances, talks, lectures, concerts, and engaging workshops for children.
The exhibition Choses que l’on garde (“Things we keep”) showcases works from the City of Lancy’s art collection in conversation with elements from Jérémie Gindre’s work, forming fresh ideas and connections. The pieces, which include paintings, drawings, photographs, objects, and sculptures, are organized into themed sections within Villa Bernasconi. In conjunction, Anaïs Wenger offers walking tours that juxtapose Lancy landscape paintings with their contemporary surroundings.
Anaïs Wenger invites you to re-explore the landscapes of Lancy through a unique walk, where paintings from the City of Lancy’s collection are compared with the current reality of these settings. This walk, part of the “Choses que l’on garde” exhibition at Villa Bernasconi, will be followed by a visit to the Ferme de la Chapelle with Elise Gagnebin-de-Bons. Join us at Villa Bernasconi, no registration needed.
