Romancero Queer

Written by Virginie Despentes, Romancero Queer takes audiences behind the scenes of a touring theatre company under the invisible hand of a director who aims to “queer” La Maison de Bernarda Alba. Between confidences, disputes and laughter, the performers reveal fragile and conflicting identities. Cruel, tender and political, the play interrogates queer identities, social struggle and the necessity of reinventing together, offering an electric ensemble piece that holds theatre to account.
