An exuberant late night tribute to Frank Zappa presented in collaboration with the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation. DJ Zemzem closes with an eclectic, groove driven set that threads improvisation, rock, and avant jazz into the night. Caustic Comedy Night gathers four stand-up comedians from Switzerland, France and Belgium in a tight, high-energy evening of observational and satirical humour. The show alternates rising talents and seasoned performers, combining sharp social commentary, playful anecdotes and improvised exchanges. Minimal staging keeps the focus on timing and delivery, creating an intimate atmosphere where rhythm and punchlines drive the experience. The programme favours quick, varied sets that sustain momentum and surprise.

Claudine (j’aime pas l’bonheur) is a re-creation by Marjolaine Minot that probes the ambivalence of happiness through intimate theatrical language. The piece blends restrained physicality and lyrical monologue to map memory, longing and domestic disquiet. Minimal scenic devices and attentive sound design carve spaces of emotion, while a small ensemble negotiates shifts between humour and melancholy. The production favours fragile gestures and precise rhythms to evoke an uneasy, poetic atmosphere.

Frank Zappa’s opera “200 Motels” is showing in Switzerland for the first time. This dynamic musical-theatrical piece is brought to life by director Daniel Kramer and conductor Titus Engel, featuring an impressive and diverse cast, including Robin Adams, Brenda Rae, and legendary guitarist Mike Keneally. Known for his iconic rock career, Zappa presents an experimental and psychedelic work that blends opera, rock, and contemporary classical music. “200 Motels” offers a chaotic and extravagant journey across the United States, mirroring the wild lives of Zappa and the Mothers of Invention.
