Les Ateliers Acrylique are a theatrical school that celebrates the strength of group work and the intensity of stage experience. The workshops present performances written especially for participants — children, teenagers and adults — and are led by professional artists. Designed for emerging professionals and recent graduates, this workshop explores puppetry through the creation of a short performance. Four to five young artists are supported through a guided process from idea to stage, with mentorship in direction, dramaturgy and construction. Participants develop a compact work presented at a public work-in-progress showcase. Reserved for previous participants of the Grand Chantier, this workshop deepens marionette staging and performance practice. Facilitated by Chine Curchod and Joël Hefti. Using puppets supplied by the TMG and excerpts from classical and contemporary texts, participants will investigate spatial composition, scenographic devices and dramaturgy, and refine ensemble manipulation and character work. The atelier emphasizes practical exercises, collective exploration and staged fragments to advance technical control and theatrical storytelling.

4 May – 28 August

This guided tour explores the history and engineering of the Salève cable car, a landmark linking Geneva to the mountains. It examines early ascents, its inauguration and the technical challenges of construction and operation. Visiting the upper station reveals Maurice Braillard’s modernist concrete design and the structural solutions behind the installation. The session blends heritage, technology and architecture to explain how the cable car became an iconic cross-border monument.

Friday 15 May, 15:00

Led by Marisa Cornejo, this workshop explores how dreams shaped by art and images from the internet can inform creative practice and collective interpretation. Participants will practise techniques to recall dreams and translate them into drawings and handwritten texts, then use drawing, writing and collage to develop richer representations. Through guided dialogues, attendees will examine their sensitivity to paintings, films and images on screens and collaboratively refine selected works.

English, Spanish and French are welcome.

13 March – 12 June

DE.CO.DE is a research-led workshop series for 18–25-year-olds exploring disinformation, media, artificial intelligence and democratic participation. Participants work with researchers and journalists to analyse how information circulates and is distorted, co-create multimedia content, and develop analytical and creative skills. The programme examines digital influences on civic life, offers practical tools for critical media literacy, and supports contributors in producing resources for peers while recognising the ethical challenges of online information.

Vincent Duclert, senior researcher at CESPRA (EHESS‑CNRS) and former director, discusses how historians approach representations of catastrophe. Drawing on his research on genocide and cinema, he examines the intersections of memory, image and historical testimony and reflects on how film shapes and challenges historical understanding. The session includes a screening of the documentary «Ce que je sais. Paroles pour l’histoire. 1992-2022.» It is presented in the context of Valentina Calzolari’s transversal course.
