Written by Julie Gilbert and directed by Lou Ciszewski, Quoiqu’il arrive. Respire. follows Joana, shaken after seeing a play about a young activist in which one of her pupils performs. Performed by Margot Le Coultre, the piece questions women’s will and capacity to fight—physically and metaphorically—and how to claim and hold space without being assigned a role. Presented in a portable, ‘portative’ form commissioned by the producing company, the staging favors close-up gestures, raw textures and a quietly collective imagination that unsettles certainties.

Part of the Voix de Fête programme, this evening brings five distinct voices: Gildaa, a satirical songwriter straddling chanson and baile funk with bilingual, theatrical delivery; Malaka, a sister duo whose folk-soul harmonies favour pared-back instrumentation; Sam Mallais, a New Brunswick guitarist channeling analog-era psychedelic blues-rock (produced by Mike Trask); Soleil Launière, an Innu singer blending soul-roots with percussive performance alongside CHANCES and Simon Walls; and Noir & Gerber, a franglais soul-blues trio weaving intimate grooves and luminous covers.
Organised by Alliance Créative, Double Jeu is an improvisation format built on strategy and subtle manipulation: each performer secretly receives a mission to coax a partner into a specific action without being noticed. Scenes cascade into comic chaos where every line conceals an intention, and performers juggle personal objectives against shifting group dynamics. The atmosphere alternates between playful mischief and razor-sharp timing, producing surprising twists and communal laughter.
