The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR) hosts Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla for her Geneva debut, joined by pianist Georgijs Osokins. Led by conductor Dylan Corlay, the Lemanic Modern Ensemble presents Paul Lay’s new creation Un Français à New-York, a jazz-infused programme that blends original composition and orchestral arrangement. Pianist and composer Paul Lay is joined by Clemens van der Feen (double bass) and drummer Donald Kontomanov in a dialogue between chamber textures and jazz improvisation. The concert also features an ensemble version of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, reimagined for modern forces.
Brigade financière stages a tense, chamber drama by Hugues Leforestier that confronts the logic of contemporary finance. Under Antony Mettler’s direction, Christian Gregori and Maria Mettral embody a sharp, cerebral duel between a financial crimes commissioner and an accused executive. Christian Gregori also signs scenography and costumes while Florian Cuellar sculpts the lighting. The production blends police-procedural suspense with satirical intelligence, probing power, privilege and the contradictions of today’s economic system.

Choreographer Marcos Morau unveils Svatbata, a world premiere for the Grand Théâtre de Genève. This work brings together the theater’s ballet troupe to delve into the rituals and concept of marriage, drawing inspiration from Bulgaria’s unique position as a bridge between East and West. Through choreographic movements that blend human sounds and gestures, the piece offers a contemplation on life, death, and the rituals connecting them, while celebrating the universality and depth of collective traditions.
Written by E.-E. Schmitt, La Tectonique des Sentiments probes how love can turn to hatred in an instant. The plot follows Diane and Richard as imagined betrayals unleash seismic emotional shifts, toppling certainties and stirring violent tenderness. The piece balances sharp comedy and quiet cruelty, dissecting contradictions of desire through intimate exchanges and sudden tremors of feeling. The staging favors psychological clarity and a charged, oscillating atmosphere that leaves the audience unsettled and moved.

Desperate for (bonds) is an improvisational performance for electroacoustic harp that explores the sonic tensions embedded within human attachment. Strings and woven connections create an architecture of bonds between a body and a harp that are strapped together, inviting the audience into a form of radical listening — if one dares to enter it.
