Témoign’ages – Participatory Dance Project

Contemporary dance company Cie C2C invites racialized women* aged 18 and over to a series of participatory workshops exploring the theme of body-history. Led by Karin Rose, a company dancer, the sessions provide a reflective space for embodied exploration, collective sharing and creative practice around bodily memory and inherited narratives. Participants draw on diverse cultural movement traditions and artistic practices to investigate how personal and collective histories shape the body and expression.

The activity examines themes such as habitat restoration, species-friendly practices, urban greening and policy responses, helping participants understand the impact and rationale behind everyday and organisational conservation choices.

This workshop explores the traditional process of assembling a herbarium specimen, inspired by Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s collections. Participants learn scientific techniques for pressing and mounting dried plants on old paper, practice botanical labelling and nomenclature, and select specimens to create a personal herbarium sheet. The session examines preservation methods, identification principles and the historical context of Rousseau’s approach, combining practical skills with scientific insight to produce a lasting botanical object.

Sandrine Huber, yoga teacher, leads sessions combining gentle movement and breathwork. Introduced by a cultural mediator, Huber brings practical experience in restorative practices and mindful sequencing suitable for varied participants.

This session explores accessible yoga techniques to slow down, release tension, and foster present-moment awareness. It examines breathing, gentle asanas, and mindful transitions, encouraging self-care and sensory attunement. Participants will learn practices to integrate calm and embodiment into daily life.

Saturday 26 September, 11:00

André Ourednik, Heike Fiedler and Begoña Feijoo Fariña reflect on the relationships between writing, plurilingualism, creative practice and cultural contexts. The roundtable investigates how authors navigate multiple languages in their work, the effects of linguistic hybridity on narrative form, and the role of translation, memory and belonging in artistic creation. The discussion is moderated by Mélanie Chappuis today.
