St Matthew Passion

Under the direction of Leonardo García-Alarcón, Bach’s St Matthew Passion (BWV 244) is presented by Cappella Mediterranea in collaboration with the Chœur de Chambre de Namur and the Maîtrise du Conservatoire populaire de Genève. Soloists Sophie Junker, Hugh Cutting, Valerio Contaldo (Evangelist), Laurence Kilsby, Alex Rosen (Jesus) and Andreas Wolf (Pilate) give the narrative voice. The performance balances intimate chamber textures and dramatic choral outbursts, weaving counterpoint and sacred drama into a solemn, immersive and emotionally charged journey lasting over two and a half hours.

Faire Hamlet !

Directed by Valeria Bertolotto, Faire Hamlet! stages a company wrestling with performance and truth as rehearsals of Shakespeare’s prince unravel private tensions. Pierre Banderet, Dylan Poletti and an intergenerational ensemble confront doubt, jealousy and shifting identities while Angèle Colas provides artistic collaboration. Sound by Fred Jarabo, scenography by Fanny Courvoisier, lights by Alessandra Domingues and costumes by Eléonore Cassaigneau shape an intimate, unstable world where fiction bleeds into life.
