Led by Warren Ellis (violin) with Mick Turner (guitar) and Jim White (drums), Dirty Three craft expansive instrumental narratives that blend post‑rock, folk, classical and free jazz. Their music moves through intimate, quiet passages to sweeping, cathartic crescendos, built from delicate interplay and raw timbre. The trio’s return with Love Changes Everything (2024) deepens their reputation for emotive soundscapes and intense live catharsis. Their long collaborations with artists like Nick Cave, Cat Power and Bonnie “Prince” Billy underscore a singular voice in contemporary alternative music.

Presented in collaboration with Fonderie Kugler, Celebration gathers a new generation of creators across contemporary dance, visual arts and electronic music. Choreographic works include Anemoia — created by Milla Ansermet with Thalya Graf, Nora Gisler, Nora Gatti and Elise Gobet — and Dahlia, a solo by Juliette Kuster. Qigong teacher Kiara Lavanchy and DJ sets by Mé and AIEAIEAIE weave movement, improvised scores and electronic textures into a communal tapestry of memory and shared experience.

Celebrating its 43rd edition, AMR Festival gathers a constellation of jazz and improvised-music projects over five days, offering 27 concerts that range from big-band workshops and modern-jazz sessions to intimate improvised sets and family programming. Artists and ensembles explore spontaneity, collective listening and rhythmic invention, with programming that favours interplay and sonic risk. Lighting and sound design shape shifting atmospheres, from hushed, introspective moments to exuberant, groove-driven peaks, transporting listeners through vivid, communal encounters.

Spirale Workshops 1 and 2

Spirale Workshops 1 and 2 showcase a thirty-year practice of transmission, research and intergenerational exchange. Under the direction of Michele Millner (Atelier 1) and Cathy Sarr with Patrick Mohr (Atelier 2), the project blends devised creation and collective laboratories. Atelier 1 develops a decolonial, antipatriarchal and radical laboratory that dialogues with figures such as Lady Macbeth and Nina. Participants include Marie Bondolfi, Yves Cerf, Mael Godinat and Jeanne Pasquier.

British singer-songwriter Amaria BB brings a bold fusion of R&B, dancehall and contemporary pop to the GET OUT project. Her smoky vocals and syncopated rhythms mingle with tightly produced beats, while the evening’s DJs — Spice&Curls, Guessi, Senjadi and Bobby Melo — weave seamless transitions that keep the energy taut and immersive. The program highlights contrasts between introspective balladry and dancefloor-ready grooves, delivered with London grit and a playful, modern edge.

OpenJam invites everyone to reconnect through house culture in a welcoming, intergenerational setting. The event begins with a movement workshop focused on listening, connection and relational dynamics on the dancefloor, then continues with an open, participatory DJ set. Accessible to all, the format blends dance transmission and collective practice to explore the dancefloor as a place of sociability, expression and encounter. Participants are encouraged to share, listen and move together.

Violencia Rivas

Violencia Rivas is a brazen stage persona created by Léa Pohlhammer that channels a fictional Argentine yéyé singer claiming to have invented punk in the late sixties. On stage Pohlhammer and Adrien Barazzone form a combustible duo: she as the diva, he as her devoted companion. Julien Jaillot directs the actor work; Florence Minder collaborated on dramaturgy; Fernando de Miguel supplies music and sound while Pedro Saborido and Fernando de Miguel provide song texts. Aline Courvoisier designs costumes and Danielle Milovic and Loane Ruga the lighting. Coproduction: F.A.B Force Prod., Venedig Meer.
