Quatuor Terpsycordes presents an evening of Haydn quartets, examining contrasts between wit and intensity. The program includes String Quartet in D major, Op. 17 No. 6; String Quartet in B minor, Op. 33 No. 1; and the stormy String Quartet in F minor, Op. 55 No. 2, “Le Rasoir”. The ensemble’s close-knit interplay and attentive phrasing highlight classical clarity and sudden expressive turns, creating an intimate, chamber atmosphere that balances elegance with dramatic urgency.
Founded in Geneva, STANE is an independent rock quartet that channels the spirit of ’70s rock through contemporary energy. Built around Stéphane Péclard’s songwriting, the band — Stéphane Péclard (vocals, guitar), Rolf Waeger (drums), Cosimo Manco (bass) and Teddy Huyghebaert (guitar) — blends classic riffs, driving grooves and catchy melodies into over fifteen originals crafted for live performance. On stage they aim to create a shared, suspended moment where raw energy and emotion fuse with music, inviting communal movement and intensity.
Three performers plunge into the ideas of Mark Fisher to question why imagining different futures has become so difficult. On stage, electronic music, rap, projected texts like slogans, militant karaoke and a miniature dancefloor collide. Each performer circulates with an alter ego — a kitsch, radical, excessive version of themselves — as identities slip, overlap and are improvised live. Written and performed by Violeta Hodgers, the piece balances picturesque grace and exalted tragedy as a diva confronts absurdity and loss. Marion Schmid’s costumes and the dramaturgical work of Sara Uslu shape the character’s final moments, while outside eyes from Pauline Raineri, Emmanuel Gil and Laura Gambarini refine the piece. The tone mixes melancholy, dark humour and theatrical ritual, insisting on life and love.
