Nicolas Bucher, director of the OCG, brings expertise in programming and performance of orchestral and choral repertoire, drawing on his professional role to situate requiem works in historical and musical contexts.

This lecture examines the theme of death in classical music, focusing on Brahms’s German Requiem and other mass settings. Bucher examines compositional language, textual choices, and liturgical traditions to reveal how requiems negotiate grief, consolation and memory, and what these works tell us about changing attitudes toward death in Western music.

Claire Rufenacht, dance therapist, Pedro Ratto, dancer, and Murielle Brunschwig, cultural mediator, bring complementary expertise in dance therapy, performance and cultural mediation to guided sessions for people with neurological conditions and their caregivers.

The workshops explore Argentine tango integrated with museum-inspired movement and sensory activities, addressing mobility, balance, expression and social connection. Sessions focus on practical movement exercises, improvisation and listening, adapted for participants with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, post-stroke and other movement disorders, fostering wellbeing and mutual support.
