Dance First Think Later brings together choreographers, performers, visual artists and videographers to investigate convergences between dance, performance and moving image. The exhibition combines installations, video works, sculptures, drawings, scores and archival materials alongside durational performances.

ECAL presents a selection of glass pieces created through a workshop at Musée Ariana, where fifteen students from the Master in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship collaborated with Swiss manufacturer Niesenglass. Working with a mobile furnace, they explored several glassmaking techniques and developed original, experimental objects. The exhibition highlights process as much as result, revealing how material expertise, risk, and improvisation can shape contemporary design in dialogue with craftsmanship and innovation.

Marta Blanc’s solo exhibition explores the poetry of light, reflection, and shadow through delicate crocheted metal-wire sculptures, her signature medium. Recurring spirals and intertwined infinite loops shape works that feel both airy and precise, while carefully preserved voids become sculptural forms in their own right. For this major presentation, she has created an organic body of work that reflects her craftsmanship, patience, dedication, and deep artistic commitment. Several pieces reach unprecedented scale, expanding the lyrical presence of her visual language.

16 September – 28 November

Beninese-born artist Roméo Mivekannin presents a series of paintings that investigate intimacy, memory and cultural identity. Working predominantly in acrylic on canvas, his canvases combine figurative portraiture with bold colour fields and textured surfaces. Works such as Anna in Red Kimono (2024) demonstrate a careful attention to costume, gesture and materiality, negotiating personal narrative and broader diasporic histories. The exhibition emphasises painterly craft and the tensions between representation and abstraction.

Permanent exhibition

Voltaire lived here — and that alone makes Les Délices worth knowing about. The historic residence houses manuscripts, artworks, and documents related to the philosopher and the Enlightenment. Access is more limited than at a conventional museum, so it works best as a special-visit recommendation.

Permanent exhibition

Two thousand years, one site. Opened in September 2026, Geneva’s newest archaeological space brings together a Roman dwelling, a medieval cemetery and a church, and 16th-century fortifications. Archaeology meets contemporary architecture — with temporary art projects adding another layer to the story.
