Franco‑Swiss musicians join forces with the Orchestre des Alpes et du Léman in Side by Side, a programme that blends classical writing, jazz phrasing and open-ended improvisation. The project explores textural contrasts, orchestral colours and solo interplay, shifting from intimate chamber passages to wide, cinematic swells. Expect nuanced dynamics, luminous timbres and collaborative dialogue across genres.

Led by Florence Melnotte (piano, synth, koassilator, vocals), with Louis Billette (saxophones, flugelhorn, vocals) and Sylvain Fournier (drums, vocals), Les Ancêtres du Futur conjure an aesthetic shock that blends anachronism and urgent invention. Their sound moves between wistful, kitsch melodicism and wild, improvised eruptions, where sculpted motifs collide with raw improvisation. Lighting and dynamics create a shimmering, tense atmosphere, transporting listeners through uncanny forms that feel both nostalgic and startlingly new.

6 – 18 October

Directed by Fanny Brunet and Carole Schafroth, this theatrical adaptation of Daniel de Roulet’s novel follows ten young women who emigrate to Patagonia to found an egalitarian anarchist community. Using object theatre, the production blends storytelling, projected images and reflective passages to probe anarchist utopias, working-class conditions, migration and the marginalised role of women in history. The staging is intimate and inventive, inviting thought and emotion through tactile imagery and poetic gesture.
