Metamorphoses offers a chamber reimagining of two repertoire monuments through intimate transcriptions. Richard Strauss’s Métamorphosen in a seven‑instrument version unfolds a poignant, wartime elegy, while Ferdinand Ries’s chamber transcription of Beethoven’s Third Symphony reveals the work’s dramatic architecture and visionary drive. Led by violinist Pierre Fouchenneret, cellist Raphaël Merlin, violist Elise Vaschalde and pianist Simon Zaoui, with soloists from the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, the programme traces a cross‑century dialogue of loss and revelation.

The Wheel of Fortune

Two unexpected deities arrive by bicycle, guided by a capricious GPS, carrying a very serious object: the Wheel of Fortune. They need the audience—especially children—to spin the wheel and together invent a story about a child to whom nothing seems to go right. Misfortunes pile up, luck sticks to the sneakers and solutions must be imagined. A participatory musical tale where chance and imagination shape a different story each time.

Directed by Valeria Bertolotto, Faire Hamlet! stages a company wrestling with performance and truth as rehearsals of Shakespeare’s prince unravel private tensions. Pierre Banderet, Dylan Poletti and an intergenerational ensemble confront doubt, jealousy and shifting identities while Angèle Colas provides artistic collaboration. Sound by Fred Jarabo, scenography by Fanny Courvoisier, lights by Alessandra Domingues and costumes by Eléonore Cassaigneau shape an intimate, unstable world where fiction bleeds into life.

Dogfight is a musical set in 1960s America on the eve of young Marines’ departure for Vietnam. The plot follows Eddie Birdlace, whose cruel ‘dogfight’ gamble is upended when he meets Rose, an idealistic and sincere young woman. Over a single night, the production confronts themes of masculinity, violence and empathy, blending gritty social realism with moments of tenderness. Sparse staging and intimate musical numbers highlight a painful coming-of-age and the possibility of moral change.
