Four performers embody testimonies from different generations in Sept, situated at the crossroads of dance and film. Between intimate confidences and tender tableaux, the piece examines how age shapes us and stages a delicate exploration of what growing older means, revealing a shared humanity. The staging shifts between projected images and live bodies, weaving visual and physical layers to create an experience that is both poetic and unsettling.
Une Simple Histoire is a tender musical tribute to the late Michel Bühler, celebrating his songs, poetry and humanism. Directed by Roland Vouilloz, the staging brings together Sylvie Bourban (voice) and Jean-Philippe Zwahlen (guitar) in an intimate duet that traces Bühler’s storytelling and travels. The programme weaves folk-inflected arrangements and poetic narration to evoke memory, solidarity and the quiet truth of ordinary lives.

Douglas Vanille is an intergalactic DJ performance merging live indie dance rhythms with dark disco textures. After fleeing the destruction of his home planet Kiwi32, the solitary DJ pilots a tiny vessel while pursued and battered by cosmic hazards. On stage the audience becomes his crew and the room a cockpit, guided by propulsive grooves and luminous sound design. Accompanied by his robotic companion K‑R4MEL, the show invites sustained movement and nocturnal reverie.
Violencia Rivas is a brazen stage persona created by Léa Pohlhammer that channels a fictional Argentine yéyé singer claiming to have invented punk in the late sixties. On stage Pohlhammer and Adrien Barazzone form a combustible duo: she as the diva, he as her devoted companion. Julien Jaillot directs the actor work; Florence Minder collaborated on dramaturgy; Fernando de Miguel supplies music and sound while Pedro Saborido and Fernando de Miguel provide song texts. Claudine (j’aime pas l’bonheur) is a re-creation by Marjolaine Minot that probes the ambivalence of happiness through intimate theatrical language. The piece blends restrained physicality and lyrical monologue to map memory, longing and domestic disquiet. Minimal scenic devices and attentive sound design carve spaces of emotion, while a small ensemble negotiates shifts between humour and melancholy. The production favours fragile gestures and precise rhythms to evoke an uneasy, poetic atmosphere.

Celebrating its 43rd edition, AMR Festival gathers a constellation of jazz and improvised-music projects over five days, offering 27 concerts that range from big-band workshops and modern-jazz sessions to intimate improvised sets and family programming. Artists and ensembles explore spontaneity, collective listening and rhythmic invention, with programming that favours interplay and sonic risk. Lighting and sound design shape shifting atmospheres, from hushed, introspective moments to exuberant, groove-driven peaks, transporting listeners through vivid, communal encounters.
