Le Tremplin

Le Tremplin gathers emerging Swiss musical talents in a televised talent journey that starts with open-mic auditions and evolves through filmed stages and coached workshops. Each artist presents two songs — a full piece and a shorter excerpt — across any genre or language, originals or covers. Around sixty participants advance from auditions to final selection, with twenty chosen for the next season. The piece probes justice, submission and insubordination through restrained physicality and poetic text, while a subtle soundscape and attentive lighting sculpt moments of solitude and confrontation, letting centuries-old trunks resonate with the moral weight of inherited laws.

A musical journey through the history of cabaret, from its origins to the present day, takes the stage at Théâtre Les Salons. Directed by Philippe Cohen, this production includes artists such as Bobby Lapointe and Aristide Bruant, accompanied by the talented Gaëlle Poirier on accordion and Narcisso Saùl on guitar. The ensemble, featuring Majbritt Byskov-Bridges, Philippe Cohen, Marie-Stéphane Fidanza, Claudia Lachat, Thomas Laubacher, and Kim Selamet, delivers a captivating evening filled with sketches and songs, offering a delightful blend of whimsy, romance, and humor.

12 – 22 February

“Les Trois Soeurs à Trois” by Collectif BPM at Maison Saint-Gervais presents an inventive reinterpretation of Chekhov’s play. Artists Catherine Büchi, Léa Pohlhammer, and Pierre Mifsud transform this classic by portraying journalists recording a radio show. They narrate the real or imagined stories of different productions of the play, while sharing personal and family anecdotes, providing a humorous and sharp reflection on their own dreams and illusions.

Ensemble Musicâme France presents a programme of fiery passion and intimate lyricism, weaving Tchaikovsky, Puccini, Massenet, Bizet, Saint-Saëns and Queen into a textured evening. Flutist Issam Garfi and solo violinist Christophe Quatremer join Claire Dassesse (second violin), Mariam Rüetschi (viola) and Aude Dassesse (cello) to alternate sweeping gestures and fragile, tender episodes. Dynamic contrasts and carefully shaped soundscapes move from dramatic surges to hushed vulnerability, creating a visceral, heart‑felt voyage.

14 – 15 February

Born in northern Italy in the 16th century, Commedia dell’arte shaped opera and European theatre. Under the direction of Rafael Bianciotto, specialist in masked performance, singers from the Haute école de musique de Genève’s vocal department explore mask work, improvisation and the embodiment of stock characters such as Arlecchino, Pantalone, Colombina and Scapin. Meta Červ and Ama Martin accompany on piano, while Bianciotto’s staging combines pedagogical rigor with playful physicality to reveal comic and dramatic nuances.
