Conceived by artist Pauline Coquart, Short Ass Attention Span #3 mixes literary experiment and live performance, assembling texts that range from apocalyptic sketches to risqué autofiction and political essays on sexuality. Editors and collaborators Ethan Assouline and Gaia Vincensini shaped the selection and the edition’s visual identity, while attentive editorial direction and inventive layout treat writing as performative material. Our eyes are naturally drawn to light and what shines. Yet what could be more fascinating than shadow? Shadows have enabled many fundamental discoveries: the shape of the Earth, the calculation of its circumference, the identification of electrons, and the understanding of planetary motion. They accompany us and enrich our thinking. Come and explore them to learn more about their role in science.
