Jazz Night Latina invites musicians of all skill levels to an evening of vibrant music. Following a performance led by percussionist Edwin Sanz and his talented ensemble, the stage will open up for a jam session centered around the Latin repertoire. The play “Les cinq roses de Jennifer” explores the solitude and struggle of an individual against dominant discourse. It tells the story of Jennifer, a romantically inclined femminiello, who awaits the eagerly anticipated call from Franco after an unforgettable night together. Each day, she dedicates a song to him while living under the threat of a serial killer targeting transvestites in her 1980s Naples neighborhood. Though seemingly light-hearted, the play powerfully portrays the outsider’s condition and the despair of hiding in order to be accepted. Translated and directed by Daniela Morina Pelaggi, the production is supported by a talented artistic and technical team, and it marks its world premiere in French under the banner of Compagnie Daï Daï Produçao.

There is a period in our lives that marks us particularly. For me, it was when I played with Barbie dolls. I was the most renowned director in the world. I was a big name in cinema. Everyone wanted to work for me. One day, it all stopped, my world collapsed, and that was the end.

“Échec Mycose” is a creation by Compagnie Pluton. Alice and Ulysse, a queer duo from rural Switzerland, present a musical inspired by the exclusion of trans women from international women’s chess competitions and Léa Rivière’s poem “Je suis pas trans dans la forêt.” On stage, they explore stories of transitions, whether they be spatial-temporal, chemical, generational, or gender, with a DIY touch. The company aims to provide positive representations of queer paths in a countryside setting, challenging cis-heteropatriarchal norms.

This fourth edition offers a rich program of milongas, live concerts, dance demonstrations, and workshops led by renowned international artists. Attendees can enjoy performances by the ensemble Tangorra and participate in tango and milonga classes suitable for various skill levels. The event also features tango fashion stands and a welcoming atmosphere for both seasoned dancers and newcomers.

In his show « Durer, choisir et chanter des berceuses » Frédéric Recrosio makes his return to the stage with a new existential solo performance after a decade away, having been preoccupied with happiness. Directed by Yann Marguet, this show features Recrosio’s candid autobiographical confessions, revealing the significant misfortunes of his life. The performance offers a mix of tenderness and sharpness, inviting the audience into his personal reflections.
