François de Saint-Chéron, a literature PhD and associate professor at the Sorbonne, brings decades of research on André Malraux and has edited and curated major Malraux publications and exhibitions. Drawing on unpublished testimonies and rare accounts, he examines the life and work of the author of La Condition humaine to reveal a nuanced portrait beyond glamour and controversy, focusing on literary, political and artistic dimensions of Malraux’s career.

Wright Colloquium 2026 brings together interdisciplinary inquiry to rethink what we call intelligence. Christoffer Ellegaard, artist and illustrator born in 1988 in Elsinore (Denmark) and based in Geneva, trained at the HEAD and the Hochschule Luzern. His drawing and painting practice is recognised for the finesse of its line and the poetry of its images; he exhibits in Switzerland and internationally and regularly publishes illustrated books.

Palestinian writer Yousri Alghoul offers a first‑hand account of life and writing under conflict. He discusses his experiences in Gaza and his recent collection, Book of Wills, in which eighteen Gazan authors leave personal testaments that examine memory, survival and resistance. The anthology confronts erasure and bears witness to voices, some of which have been silenced. The lecture explores the ethical and literary dimensions of testimony and the power of writing as an act of endurance.
Patricia Guisado, librarian in charge of the film collection, manages and preserves ethnographic audiovisual materials and facilitates access for research and education.
This presentation examines the scope and significance of the ethnographic film collection, exploring themes of cultural memory, archival practices, and ethical use of audiovisual sources.
