Festival Voix de Fête #29

Voix de Fête brings a week of concerts and community music events in Geneva, presenting diverse genres and shared performances. It invites everyone—residents and visitors—to come together, enjoy live sets and collective music experiences, and support local and touring artists. Programming includes a variety of acts, with performances by artists such as Meryl, Miki, Médine and Suzane. The festival fosters connections across the community through music and convivial gatherings.

Miró and Mirror Music is an original multidisciplinary concert-performance inspired by the Catalan painter Joan Miró. His imagery is set in dialogue with composers of his time and reworked through Sophie Le Meillour’s live visual mapping. Juliette Rahon signs the staging and choreography, while a chamber ensemble—Mariana Flores (voice), Meglena Tzaneva and Chiara Nava Mambretti (pianos), George Vassilev and Miguel Ferreira (guitars)—performs repertoire by Ravel, Mompou, Albéniz, de Falla, Granados, García Lorca and Obradors. Can we truly take advantage of everything?
After a serious accident, Georges, a real estate developer, finds himself trapped in Frida and Micheline’s apartment at 13 rue Lepic in Paris, in the building that houses his real estate company. The businessman has a logical mind; his life revolves around seizing every opportunity. This event will turn his life upside down, challenge his beliefs, and reveal him to himself… Never say never…

5 – 7 June

Théâtre en Campagne is a three-day community theatre festival offering performances, workshops and activities for all ages. Families and neighbours are invited to share short plays, open-stage moments, puppetry and storytelling, alongside hands-on initiation workshops and interactive animations. The programme mixes professional shows and participatory formats to foster connections, creativity and local exchange. Everyone is welcome to come together, discover new works and celebrate performing arts in an inclusive, friendly setting.

1 – 6 June

Students present a series of performances showcasing pieces developed during the academic year. The programme includes solo and ensemble works across music, theatre and experimental forms, emphasising collaborative creation, stylistic exploration and stagecraft. Intimate presentations alternate with more elaborate stagings, highlighting movement, sound design and dramaturgy. The series offers a window on emerging talent and the diverse approaches fostered in the teaching environment.

Friday 5 June, 20:00

Conductor Ferran Gili-Millera leads the municipal wind ensemble through a vivid, eclectic programme that spans cinematic themes, jazz classics and contemporary wind repertoire. The concert juxtaposes works by Thierry Deleruyelle, Marcel Peeters and Jacob de Haan with beloved film melodies from Joe Hisaishi, John Williams and Hans Zimmer, plus jazz arrangements evoking Duke Ellington. The band’s precise dynamics and warm, sustained sonorities shape an emotional arc from playful lyricism to sweeping heroic fanfares, placing the orchestral wind palette at the centre.

5 – 6 June

Nina Azoulai delivers a funny, liberating solo show that explores the paths others plan for us and the routes we finally take. With sharp observational humour and candid storytelling, she revisits a life shaped by expectations — a steady job, a reliable partner, children — and the awkward, tender moments that followed when she chose differently. The piece blends intimate confession, precise comic timing and warm audience rapport to examine identity, family and reinvention.
