Directed by Juliette Navis, Pedro is the final instalment of a trilogy that stages a surreal duo of performers inspired by Pedro Almodóvar. The piece follows Juan and Pepa aboard a spaceship, exploring desire, sexuality and hypersexualisation through darkly comic science-fiction touches drawn from Ursula K. Le Guin. La Bâtie Festival celebrates its 50th edition from 25 August to 13 September 2026! Choreographed by Saša Asentić, Le Sacre du printemps is a reimagined Stravinsky landmark performed by the inclusive company Per.Art. Drawing on historical versions by the Ballets Russes, Maurice Béjart and Pina Bausch and enriched with the voices of disabled poets from Serbia, Iran, Ukraine and the United States, the seven dancers invert the original narrative. The staging transforms ritual into a manifesto of survival, blending physical rigor, collective solidarity and poetic testimony to renew the score as a cry for life.
