FameLab is a world-leading science communication competition, designed to inspire and showcase emerging talent in the art of making science accessible and engaging. Early-career professionals deliver a captivating three-minute presentation on a scientific topic of their choice, which will be judged on content, clarity and charisma. Originating in the UK and now held in over 30 countries, FameLab challenges scientists, researchers and communicators to break down complex ideas into clear, compelling stories.

This year, the international final will take place at CERN. Finalists will be selected in national competitions worldwide and will go head-to-head live to win the title of best young science communicator. Join in and vote!

The MAH offers “Tango&Health” therapeutic workshops that blend Argentine tango dance with a museum visit. These sessions are designed for individuals with neurological disorders (such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, post-stroke) and their loved ones. The workshops feature Claire Rufenacht, a dance therapist; Pedro Ratto, a dancer; and Murielle Brunschwig, a cultural mediator. Registration is required at least 24 hours in advance.

The Geneva Debate Club, founded in 2022 as an English-language branch of the Club Genevois de Débat, meets every Thursday evening to provide a structured platform for practicing eloquence and critical thinking. Participants propose diverse topics, are randomly assigned pro or con positions, and engage in timed debates with interactive questioning periods.

With no participation obligation—observers welcome—evenings conclude with voting for the most convincing team and best speaker, followed by friendly bar discussions, creating an inclusive environment for developing debate skills in English.

Martin Rauch champions the use of raw earth in contemporary architecture as a response to climate challenges and dwindling resources. Trained as a ceramist, he was deeply influenced by local techniques he encountered in Africa. As the founder of Lehm Ton Erde, he has refined the technique of rammed earth and specializes in prefabricating large raw earth elements. His projects blend traditional craftsmanship with technical innovation. An acclaimed award winner, he also teaches at the University of Linz and ETH Zurich.

EA Geneva hosts bi-weekly lunches at Uni Mail, offering a space for exchanging ideas, discussing effective altruism, and fostering friendships. Participants bring their own meals and engage in conversations on a range of topics including biosecurity, global health, AI safety, psychology, philosophy, and politics. Newcomers are warmly welcomed, and small groups of 3 to 5 people ensure enriching discussions.

The Shameless is a powerful film that explores caste, gender, and queer resistance through the story of two women on the margins of Indian society. Set against a backdrop of oppression and forbidden love, the film raises urgent questions about identity, freedom, and justice. A panel discussion with scholars and activists will follow the screening.

Deep ecology workshops at Parc des Bastions invite you to explore your emotions about climate change, reconnect with the living world, and find collective motivation for action. These sessions aim to overcome eco-anxiety and identify opportunities for positive engagement. Each workshop offers practical exercises to shift perspectives on ecological transition.
