Cuivres en Liberté presents a brass quintet exploring a vivid program of transcriptions and original arrangements by Leonard Bernstein, Dmitri Shostakovich, Øystein Baadsvik, Giuseppe Verdi and John Williams. Led by a spirited brass ensemble — Alexandre Faure, Matteo de Luca, Vincent Métrailler and Andrea Bandini on trombones, with Ross Knight on tuba — the performance balances lyrical warmth and razor-sharp virtuosity, moving from cinematic sweep to chamber-like intimacy and bold, rhythmic drive.

Musiques Interdites recreates the charged atmosphere of a Weimar-era cabaret where humour, poetry and music become acts of resistance. Hosted by Lucile Richardot and Éléonore Pancrazi, the evening revives works banned under Nazi rule—jazz, pieces by Jewish and politically persecuted composers—and blends songs, instrumental numbers and recomposed arrangements. The production foregrounds the subversive power of art, evoking both the creative freedom pursued by artists and the fear and repression that sought to silence them.
