FILMAR en América Latina returns to Geneva from 13 to 22 November 2026 for its 28th edition. Switzerland’s leading festival dedicated to Latin American cinema will showcase more than 70 films, including 50 feature-length productions.
This year, the festival pays tribute to Teresa Sánchez, a multifaceted artist and prominent figure in Mexican cinema. The programme also celebrates the richness of Latin American music, with films exploring its many forms as well as screenings followed by live recitals.
Gender and identity, memory, the environment and Indigenous struggles are among the key themes running through this year’s programme. Parties, debates and encounters will further foster dialogue across cultures and generations.
Founded in 2011, the Geneva International Jewish Film Festival (GIJFF) presents a diverse selection of international films highlighting Jewish life, history, and culture. Through its annual festival and Holocaust education screenings, GIJFF enriches Geneva’s cultural landscape, offering audiences a unique opportunity to explore stories that foster understanding, reflection, and dialogue.

Vox Gregoriana offers an immersive introduction to Gregorian chant, the musical root of Western sacred music. Through listening and practice participants explore vocal technique, breath control, textual listening and liturgical meaning. The session includes an introductory musical presentation and a documentary screening; follow-up workshops use Advent and Christmas repertoire as a practical thread for study and ensemble singing. No prior experience is required beyond singing in tune.

Les Créatives is a Geneva-based feminist festival that celebrates the work of women and gender minorities through a multidisciplinary programme of music, performances, exhibitions, films, and discussions. Combining artistic creation with social engagement, the festival promotes diversity, inclusion, and gender equality in contemporary culture.
Lucía Garibaldi’s Un futuro Brillante maps a neo‑futuristic, dystopian coming-of-age, following Elisa, 18, chosen for a journey to the legendary ‘North.’ Garibaldi balances intimate character study with widescreen world-building, using textured frames and cool, metallic palettes to render a city both hopeful and haunted. Named Viewpoints Award winner at Tribeca 2025, the film unfolds a postcolonial meditation on migration, desire and doubt, privileging mood and rhythm over exposition as it probes the costs of leaving and the allure of an imagined elsewhere.
