Erik Bernasconi’s BECAÀRIA observes adolescence with quiet, tactile precision. Set in 1977 Ticino, the film follows 16-year-old Mario as he is sent for the summer to a high‑altitude farm, where wide mountain vistas and intimate encounters reshape his world. Through lingering frames, natural light and patient rhythms, Bernasconi traces tensions with his father, the warmth of new relationships and the tentative emergence of first love. The result is a sensory coming‑of‑age drama that privileges atmosphere and the transformative force of landscape.

In Italian with French and German subtitles. Screening followed by a discussion with director Erik Bernasconi.

Every October, the Everybody’s Perfect festival unites the arts and cultural exchange to celebrate the expressions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer people worldwide.
