Featuring guitar teachers and students from the Conservatoire populaire and dancers from the pre‑professional contemporary class of Emilio Artessero Quesada, this program stages a dialogue between dance and guitar rooted in Cuban repertoire. Works by Leo Brouwer — including the complete 20 Études simples and Paisajes cubanos — weave minimalism, serial techniques and Cuban folklore into a dense rhythmic tapestry. The performance balances precise instrumental textures and kinetic, communal choreography, offering vivid sonic colours and pulsing movement.

Stravaganza offers a journey through three centuries of European music, from royal courts and cathedrals to ballrooms and chapels. The programme juxtaposes familiar names — Charpentier, Gabrieli, Lully, Bach — with lesser-known composers such as Corrette and Holborne, moving between festive dances, sacred works and virtuosic pieces. Musicians — teachers from the Early Instruments Department, their students and guest tutors — perform on replicas of historical instruments (violin, sackbut, dulcian, traverso, recorder, lute, trumpet, harpsichord), restoring the distinctive timbres of another era and vivid sonic colors.

The Conservatoire populaire and the Avelune Ensemble present a collaboration exploring the contemporary harp and its electronic extensions. Featuring harpists Emma Thomazeau, Hanna Borka, Céline Gay des Combes and Blandine Pigaglio, with electroacoustic work by Baptiste Baudimand and computer-assisted music by Benjamin Gueit, the programme mixes contemporary repertoire, improvisation and electronic textures. The harp is reinvented between acoustic resonance and processed sound, creating a hypnotic, immersive sonic world that blurs timbre and spatial perception.

Led by marimbist and composer Eric Sammut, Magic Carousel presents a rhythmic journey through jazz, groove, and Gypsy and Latin inflections. The program, featured in the Mosaic Season, pairs the percussion faculty with invited students and ensembles, including sonic contributions from the Vertixe Sonora Ensemble. Works such as Mirages, Crawl, Walk, Run and Magic Carousel transform mallets and drums into lyrical and percussive voices, shaping an immersive, pulsating sound world that alternates intimacy and explosive energy.

Vertixe Sonora Ensemble presents Flow, a rebellious, defiant programme confronting the excesses of abusive and authoritarian power. Musicians from Vertixe Sonora join teachers and students from the Conservatoire in an open dialogue of sonic textures. The evening features new student compositions and a line-up including Roberto Alonso Trillo (violin), Pablo Coello (saxophone), María Mogas (accordion), Diego Ventoso (percussion) and Arturo Corrales (composition, sound). The work balances rigorous contemporary notation with visceral timbral exploration, creating an intense, communal sonic experience.
