Zed

Booking Required

Zed, a rapper from Sevran and former member of 13 Block, has carved out a distinct place in French rap. After Jaune and Joli, he returns with Nephilim Part. I, a polished solo project where hard-hitting punchlines meet a heavy, melancholic atmosphere. The writing is precise and intimate, balancing darkness with brief flashes of light, and giving voice to the feelings shaping the present moment. The result is a sharp, absorbing record with a strong visual and emotional identity.

6 – 13 November

Presented in partnership with the Institut National Genevois, this closing concert brings together prizewinners of the Geneva Competition: violist Brian Isaacs and the Quatuor Elmire. The programme centres on Beethoven’s Quintet alongside two contrasting works, offering intimate chamber music textures. The performers favour clarity of line and heated interplay, shaping a narrative of tenderness and tension. Lighting and staging are understated, focusing attention on timbral richness and communicative ensemble playing to create a luminous, emotionally precise evening.

Friday 6 November, 21:00

Nicolas Folmer leads So Miles, a modern jazz and bebop project drawn from the musical world and aesthetic of Miles Davis. Folmer’s trumpet engages in close dialogue with special guest Rick Margitza, supported by Emil Spanyi on piano, Olivier Louvel on guitar, Philippe Bussonnet on bass and Stéphane Huchard on drums. The programme balances lyrical introspection and fiery improvisation, foregrounding tone, space and groove in intimate ensemble interplay.

30 October – 14 November

Four performers embody testimonies from different generations in Sept, situated at the crossroads of dance and film. Between intimate confidences and tender tableaux, the piece examines how age shapes us and stages a delicate exploration of what growing older means, revealing a shared humanity. The staging shifts between projected images and live bodies, weaving visual and physical layers to create an experience that is both poetic and unsettling.

28 October – 8 November

Directed by Eléonore Bonah and staged by scenographer Maria Clara Castioni, CHRÜSIMÜSI transforms Adelheid Duvanel’s terse, poetic fragments into a multilingual theatrical tapestry. Performers Eléonore Bonah and Maria Clara Castioni inhabit hypersensitive, marginal characters whose everyday gestures oscillate between absurdity and tenderness. Sparse staging and a careful interplay of voice and silence highlight Duvanel’s Kafkaesque intimacy, while language shifts (French, German, Italian) create a fragile, dreamlike atmosphere that balances humour and quiet despair, celebrating stubborn acts of resistance.

6 – 7 November

Choreographed by Soraya Leila Emery, Coming Soon reimagines Ingres’s La Grande Odalisque through a playful, subversive lens. A single performer shifts between tableaux—seductive, mischievous, defiant—using grotesque exaggeration and theatrical excess to unsettle the orientalist gaze. Sparse objects, bold gestures and a keen sense of timing create alternating moments of intimacy and farce, opening space for new narratives of desire and agency. Created in collaboration with Emergentia and local partners, the work feels simultaneously imminent and elusive.

3 – 22 November

Directed by Marie-José Malis, Retour au pays revisits Hugo von Hofmannsthal’s letters through a spare, lucid staging. Performers Alexandra Tiedemann and Juan Crespillo inhabit the returning merchant’s disorientation, while Aurélia Ansermet provides live music and sound. Bernard Héritier’s scenography and Jessy Ducatillon’s lighting shape moments of visual surprise, most poignantly a Van Gogh encounter that restores belief in the world. The piece refuses facile answers, offering theatrical lucidity and an austere emotional clarity.
