Changing the Story: Building New Narratives for Action

A panel brings together Jonas Schneiter (Our Frame director and journalist), Christian Chaplais (screenwriter and director), Colin Pahlisch (UNIL researcher and coordinator of the Observatory of Narratives), and Chantal Peyer (prospective researcher and cofounder of the Hub des Possibles). Moderated by journalist Joëlle Loretan.

The evening opens with a screening of Christian Chaplais’s short film La voie de l’Orchidée, followed by a roundtable that explores how stories shape collective imaginaries and drive ecological transition. Panelists examine cinematic, academic and media perspectives to reveal which narratives effectively encourage behavioural change and public engagement.
